I went for a coffee with bensedin art and then we went shopping for yarn. This is what we chose for a summer sweater (of course, I had to cast on the moment I got home. :) Shopping for yarn with such a cheerful, witty and creative person was a true pleasure! I hope we'll do it again some time soon :)
No, zadovoljstvima tu nije bio kraj.
And then, when I got home, an envelope with stitch markers from Croatia :) It felt like Christmas!

Futrola za mali kompjuter / A cozy for my little computer
Sigurna sam da me razumete :) .
Of course you can buy one and I've got one but... I needed a crocheted computer case. I'm sure you understand :). It's a small, 7-inch netbook which I can now easily carry around in my bag.
I put in some additional lining (the thing used in winter jackets, the name of which I don't know in English and am too lazy to search for at the moment) for extra cushioning. Then I sewed it onto the red cloth in a criss-cross pattern, which produced these 'airbags'.

Pletenje prstima / Finger knitting
After she successfully mastered the basics of crochet, my niece insisted I taught her how to knit. I would love to do that but I was a bit worried about how she'd cope with two needles and all the stitches so I decided to teach her finger knitting instead. It's easier and safer. And here are two scarves we made:
Koristile smo ova uputstva.

Kreativna radionica - Creative workshop
I must boast of projects completed by my 8-year-old niece while she was staying with us. I had previously taught her how to make chain stitches, which cannot keep anyone's attention for too long, especially not that of a hyperactive 8-year-old. This time she learned how to do single and double crochet. We present to you the projects from Summer 2009 Bratz Fashion Collection:
1. suknja - Skirt no. 1
2. suknja - Skirt no. 2
Crveni top bez bretela - Red strapless top
Ogrtač koji se pretvara u pokrivač (uz pomoć magije, naravno) - Wrap that turns into an afghan (by magic, of course)
