Stolnjak / Tablecloth

Kupila krpe na metar kako bih porubljujući ih isprobala svoju novu (polovnu) šivaću mašinu. Kako nikada nisam šila, i obično porubljivanje je pravi poduhvat. No, učinilo mi se da bi se ove krpe mogle opheklati i od njih napraviti stolnjak, što se pokazalo kao užasno dugotrajan i nadasve dosadan posao, ali mislim da se isplatilo.

I bought this dishtowel fabric in order to sharpen my (non-existent) sewing skills and try my new second-hand sewing machine. I cut it, hemmed the towels and then reassembled them and added a crochet border. A waste of time, some would say. Maybe, but I like the effect and the uniqueness of this tablecloth. A tedious project, though.
