A sweater, a vest and a tee

I've been waiting long for these photos :)

Drops' jumper with a cable motif and 3/4 sleeves, knit in A.P.D.O.O. Superwash Sport, bought in Leo klupko in Zagreb last year. Thank you, Lorna, for sending me that one additional skein! I finished it back in December but the photos were crappy.

Then I got a most wonderful New Year's present from pckristina, 6 skeins of Unitas's Ana, which in January were transformed into a Lace Saddle Tee.

And for the end of this eloquent post, something I've wanted to make for a long time but couldn't find a suitable yarn. Until some friends said they were going to Sweden :))) Garnstudio, of course :) I ordered Drops' Nepal and finally made Bramblewood. The yarn is fantastic and just perfect for this pattern.

  1. Vauu, kakva linija:)Bogami...
    A tek šminka!

P.S. Jos malo pa Drops blize nego u Svedskoj ;)

  14. Did you like working with the Ana yarn? I'm thinking of getting some. I *love* the Lace Saddle Tee you made with it! Gorgeous!

  15. @ Seren: It's difficult to give a general opinion of Ana because Unitas markets a number of different yarns under the same name. I don't know why that is so but it makes it impossible to know what yarn we are talking about. I've seen Ana's in fingering, in sport and in worsted weight. And all different qualities too. The thread of this particular Ana was of unequal thickness, which gives it a rustic, uneven look when knit. The fabric did stretch considerably but I'm still happy with it. It's not a very high quality yarn but it's usable. You just need to be careful when choosing the needles because of the unequal thickness.

  17. Oh I didn't know that about Ana yarn! I guess it would be a good one to only buy in person then, rather than online. ;)
I love the rustic quality of it for that sweater - I'll have to try to find some like it. (I deleted my previous comment as I posted it from the wrong profile, and it would have been very confusing!)
